Music

Music is one of my favorite getaways! I started playing the clarinet in 5th grade when I had the option to choose an instrument. Before this opportunity, I had no experience with music and I struggled to grasp the concept of notes in music class! Soon enough, I was going to my first NYSSMA, where I recieved an outstanding on my solo!

Going into 6th grade, I went strong into band with my clarinet, and also decided to join choir, which I loved immediately. My choir sang in our area's Choir Festival, which was a truly amazing experience. In 7th grade, I also auditioned for my school's select choir, which I was accepted into.

For me, 8th grade was my most musicaly year. I picked up tenor saxophone because it was so similar to clarinet. With it, I played in jazz band and was also accepted into my area's select jazz band, which was soooo fun and exciting! With my clarinet, I was accepted into my area's select band, and I played outside of school in a great instrument organization.

Even though I love instruments, I also like singing just for fun and listening to music. My favorite genre is pop music, as I listen to artists such as Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Tate McRae, and Demi Lovato (ofc there are more!). Take a look below at some of my Spotify playlists!!!
